Chris Barcless Summer Hockey Camp

Summer CAMP 2020 AT ICE LAND!

Summer camps are a go at the rink this summer! We are implementing safety precautions to keep our campers + counselors as safe as we can while in our care. Parents will also need to sign an additional Covid waiver for their child to participate in our camps.  Only one parent or guardian is allowed to enter the building to drop their kids off and sign them in. (The same for pick-up in the afternoon.) If campers can come in on their own + get their skates on, we ask that they do. Campers must come dressed. Access to locker rooms will NOT be allowed during camp. Upon arrival each day, campers + employees will have their temperature taken.  If a fever (100+) is shown on either campers or employees, they will not be able to stay at the rink and must immediately leave the building.  Extra hand sanitizers will be placed around the rink for campers + employees to use freely.  On the first day of camp each week, when we go over our regular safety measures, including fire drill + safety procedures, we will also go over hand washing safety + sanitation relating to Covid. We will practice social distancing measures when we can. We cannot guarantee they will not be in contact with other kids; that is nearly impossible. They are kids and this is summer camp!   Once on the ice, they will be broken up into smaller groups to learn and practice their skills. While other camps may be going on, they will be on the other rink surface for most of the day and our departure  + lunch times are staggered.  Lunch time will separate them at tables. Lunch + snacks MUST BE BROUGHT. The Snack Bar will not be open for lunch. Ice Land is cleaned and sanitized every day by our janitor and we have implemented more frequent cleaning procedures especially of the bathrooms, lobby tables and handrails. We are following and monitoring local government guidelines on mask wearing during camp. Other changes in our original programming may be made to keep everyone safe but regardless, the campers will have a great summer! We are going to do what we can to keep everyone safe this summer but we are so excited to be able to run our camps at the rink this year! Now go ahead and sign those kids up before we fill up! Once camps are full, we will go to a waitlist. Waitlisted campers will be called in the order in which they are received.

Ice Land is proud to announce our annual Summer Hockey Camp with Chris Barcless. Each year we bring together the best coaching talent to provide a camp that always provides quality instruction in a fun and exciting setting. We offer the most innovative instruction, designed to meet the needs of today’s player.  Our full day Camp is open to players ages 6 - 14 at all skill levels. Our program emphasizes skill development and isolates individual weaknesses for improvement.

We use a low student to instructor ratio ensuring the best instruction possible. We continually analyze a student’s strengths and weaknesses, including all aspects from stick handling and shooting skills to strength and conditioning.
Each day the students improve existing skills, learn new skills and enjoy the game of hockey.
