LEAGUE AFFILIATION
The Mercer Chiefs are members of USA Hockey, New Jersey Youth Hockey League, Atlantic Youth Hockey League.

PHILOSOPHY
The goal of our Program is to use Hockey as a vehicle to teach each athlete the value of sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, self-esteem, commitment, discipline and responsibility. We hope your child will then use these values to assist them both on and off the ice. For the past 16 years we have offered a program that has given our area youth a positive, educational and fun place to play. We promote good competition and good manners.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Tier I teams will have 2 practices per week during  the regular season. Tier II teams will average 1.25 practices per week during the regular season. In addition to the above, teams will share practice ice (subject to availability) to increase overall practice ice time.

GAME SCHEDULE
Most games will be league games with some non-league games added as desired by the coaching staff.  Attendance is expected at all games and practices. Each team may be entered into a Tournament during the season. Tournament will be selected at the discretion of Management and Coaching Staff.

TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the Mercer Chiefs will be held for all eligible players in April at Ice Land. The registration fee for tryouts is $125 before April 7th. The registration fee for tryouts after April 7th is $175.
If a player attends two tier tryouts the 2nd fee is reduced to $50. We do not pro-rate fees if the participant does not attend all of the tryouts. Management reserves the right to add or delete levels of play (AAA.AA,A,B) offered if deemed appropriate.

All Mite Players are encouraged to come to our Tryouts beginning April 22nd

Mite B is associated with our Ice Land In-House Summer League. All players participate in both the In-House & Travel Leagues. Supplemental Mite Tryouts will be held the 1st week of October to complete the formation of the Mite B Team. Team play begins directly after supplemental Tryouts and NJ Youth League play will begin in November.
