Re: New Figure Skating Format and Pricing

Ice Land’s one hour ice time format and swipe card check in system has been up and running for the past six months. As we approach the end of the summer ice season and look towards the fall, there will be some changes to the current program.

We have received a lot of feedback about the figure skating format – both positive and negative. Ice Land management has evaluated all the feedback and as a result of your input, the ice time will convert to one-half hour sessions effective with the September 2008 Freestyle Calendar.

One half hour sessions will be offered using existing package configurations and pricing as follows:

15 one half hour sessions for $120 ($8.00 per session)

30 one half hour sessions for $210 ($7.00 per session)

45 one half hour sessions for $270 ($6.00 per session)

One half hour walk-on fee is $10

Additionally, all cards will have a two month expiration date from the date of purchase or conversion. This two month window allows adequate time for skaters at every skill level to use all of their purchased sessions. Therefore, we will not be offering the monthly unlimited enrollments.

To ease the transition, we will begin selling the new one half hour cards immediately, and converting existing one hour session cards. The current value of any remaining one hour sessions will be used as a credit towards the purchase of the new one half hour cards.

All other policies and procedures remain unchanged as follows:

. check in/sign in at front desk upon arrival . follow posted session times

. overlapped sessions results in 2 sessions . daily pre-swiped sessions are considered skated

. failure to check in results in a walk on fee (no credit will be given for any unskated session)

. coaches are expected to make sure their skaters follow the rules accordingly.

We appreciate your cooperation and ask for your continued cooperation. The September freestyle schedule is available in the main lobby and also on our web site – www.ice-land.com .

The cards can be purchased at the Reception Desk, Hours vary during the year so please call ahead at 609-588-6672 x10. The card must be paid for in full upon purchase and is renewable.

The Prices are as follows:

Walk on Fee  - $10 per Session (no card) paid at the Reception Desk

Skating Card

Purchase 15 Sessions for $120 ($8 per session)

Purchase 30 Sessions for $210 ($7 per session)

Purchase 45 Sessions for $270 ($6 per session)

Multiple family members may use the same Limited Skating Card; ie, parent/child or siblings.

Please be advised that there is a $5 replacement charge for lost or stolen cards.

Special Conditions:

All payments, by card or cash/check/credit card, must be paid prior to skating. The staff will make random counts to verify that everyone has paid. If a discrepancy is determined the ice will be cleared and the problem resolved. We ask parents, skaters and coaches to help everyone by making sure they have paid the required fees. For early morning Sessions, a sign in sheet will be provided at the Reception Desk for each skaters name and Sessions skated to apply to their card or a walk on fee applied. All Walk on skaters (morning or afternoon) must use the sign in sheet for attendance purposes. There are penalties for not following the rules, and are available at the Reception Desk.

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are available for all ages and levels, from elite competitors to beginners. Fees per 1/2 hour varies depending on Instructor. There is an additional ice time fee depending on when the lesson takes place. These fees are based on the normal charge, to go on the ice, at that given time (Freestyle Session).  Skate rentals are available. All lessons must be scheduled in advance.
